Bluepoint Bakery is active in the Front Range community. We're proud to have ongoing relationships with several local charity organizations, including the following:
Bluepoint Bakery donates thousands of baked goods every year to Project Angel Heart as part of its ongoing, philanthropic partnership. Project Angel Heart is a local non-profit that home-delivers nutritious meals to improve quality of life, at no cost, for those coping with life-threatening illnesses in metro Denver, Boulder and Colorado Springs.
Each month, Bluepoint Bakery donates 100 birthday cakes to Project Angel Heart's clients like Mary, age 67, living with ovarian cancer, which saves the organization $12,000 annually. "I was so surprised and delighted when you sent me the delicious birthday cake," Mary said. "Even with my taste buds messed up with chemo, that cake was delicious."
Bluepoint Bakery also prepares and donates all of the fresh baked pies for Project Angel Heart's annual fundraiser, Pie in the Sky. Since 2009, this donation has yielded more than $100,000 in revenue to fund Project Angel Heart's home-delivered meals program. Learn more about Pie in the Sky here. Bluepoint Bakery has formed a "sweet" philanthropic partnership with CASA of Adams & Broomfield Counties, by which it provides the organization with delicious cookies and baked goods to support its mission throughout the year.
CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) of Adams and Broomfield Counties is a non-profit organization that works to ensure that every child who cannot live safely at home has a caring, compassionate CASA Volunteer who will help fight for their right to be safe, ensure that they are treated with dignity, and assure their safe passage out of foster care. Each year, in Adams and Broomfield Counties, there are over 1,300 children who have been physically, sexually or emotionally abused or neglected, and who are in desperate need of a caring, committed CASA Volunteer Advocates to speak up for their best interests.
Bluepoint Bakery sponsors CASA's annual Cookie Campaign by providing delicious holiday sugar cookies that are used to raise needed funds for the organization. The inaugural campaign in December 2013 raised over $15,000. In addition, Bluepoint has supported CASA's fundraising efforts through the three signature events; CASA Classic Golf Tournament, Indulge for CASA, and Kaleidoscope of Hope.
The funds raised through Bluepoint Bakery's baked goods directly provide CASA Volunteer Advocates for abused and neglected children in our community — making cookies count! The GrowHaus is a non-profit indoor farm, marketplace and educational center in Denver's Elyria-Swansea neighborhood. Our goal is to provide healthy, affordable food for the surrounding food-desert and low income neighborhood, and to raise awareness about issues of food justice and sustainability. www.thegrowhaus.com
Bluepoint Bakery donates bread weekly to the GrowHaus to distribute to our community, and to help cut the costs of our food box program, which raises funds for our food access efforts in the neighborhood. www.mercadolado.com
For over 15 years, Bluepoint Bakery has been a proud supporter of Soup for the Soul. At this annual fundraising event, guests enjoy sampling gourmet soups and appetizers from over 15 of Denver's finest restaurants and have the chance to bid on spectacular, one-of-a-kind finds during the silent auction. Bluepoint Bakery generously donates delectable desserts to accompany the meal for around 700 attendees.
Proceeds from Soup for the Soul support Centura Health at Home’s Porter Hospice, St. Anthony Hospice and The Butterfly Program. These programs provide compassionate end-of-life support for patients and their families. As a non-profit organization, the Centura Health at Home Foundation relies heavily on community support. Bluepoint Bakery’s support of Soup for the Soul over the years has helped provide peace, dignity and comfort for hospice patients—helping to make each patient’s experience exactly as they choose.
